Strategic and hands-on marketing and communications roles
I have worked in marketing and communications roles throughout my career in strategic roles up to Director level and in very hands-on roles. Previous employers have included:

My event management experience has included managing exhibitions stands at Olympia, the NEC Birmingham, ACC Liverpool and SECC Glasgow, managing a series of formal lunches at venues such as the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (Westminster), Guildhall (City of London), Cutlers’ Hall (Sheffield), plus open days, recruitment fairs, award events and Ministerial launches.
Covering everything from extremely high profile national projects that have been the lead item on the Ten O’clock News, through to working with tiny budgets in one person operations I am very good at keeping things in perspective and ensuring that the solution fits the client’s and the audience’s needs and is not a one-size-fits-all template.
A people and financial manager
I am also an experienced people and financial manager. A number of my roles have had a focus on change management — turning round failing or underperforming functions and successfully improving results whilst reducing costs and improving efficiency.
Work with the local community
I also volunteer for a children’s charity and set up and run a local community website in London, with associated social media sites: www.leytonstonetoday.net
